Th setting, overlooking the sea, is wonderful.
The dinner was not as good as expected, but still it was good. Breakfast was excellent.
Stunning location and very clean, comfortable rooms. The restaurant was decent, though not a stand out by any means. We thought the interior public areas were modern and cool (others had been critical of the interiors on reviews I read, but we had no complaints).
No complaints - we had a great time.
it was veery relaxing , staff were very helpfull , food was enjoyable , great location , went home happy to have stayed there.
I would have liked a different menu with a colder than i would normaly prefer a slighty wider choice to choose from , the staff were very friendly & the restaurant was well run but i would prefer the food was a touch hotter.
Splendid view, isolated and very quiet location. Nice buffet breakfast with special attention for food allergies; small pool but very well kept; nice walking path to the beach.
Airco in the fitness room did not work; hasty service in the restaurant at dinner time (no room for an intimate dinner)
A very well appointed hotel with an amazing location perched on cliffs and with views of the sea on three sides. Staff were very helpful in enabling us change room to one with shade in the evening.
Nowhere else to eat or have a drink in the evenings except in the Parador and its beach retaurant. Got fed up with an unchanging menu. It was worth getting a taxi to Begur for a change of scenery and dinner. The Parador would therefore be better for a short break, rather than a longer holiday.
Beautiful location. Nice public spaces.
Beds were very uncomfortable. No air-conditioning when we were there. Only way to cool room off was to open the door, which was problematic at night since bats could fly into room when dark. Breakfast buffet was not good. Plenty of food but not of high quality or interest.
The location ,with wonderful views, the spaciousness and peacefulness of the Hotel
It was a little disappointing that the swimming pool was not available in November
Excellent location in area of outstanding natural beauty. Stunning sea views from rooms and dining areas. Near to lovely villages and beautiful beaches and coves such as Begur, Tamariu and Llfranc. A visit to the San Sebastiá lighthouse is a must. Really good area for walking with well marked trails. Excellent roads. You can drive to Gerona in 45 mins. Excellent breakfast. Good service.
The dinner menu was over-priced and the food quality was indifferent. The bar menu was better but again was over-priced for what you got. Drinks were expensive despite being so cheap in supermarkets. This would not be a problem in the main tourist season as there are plenty of restaurants and bars locally. Staff were good but a little reserved generally.
This Parador is built in a spectacular location. There are steps down to a beautiful, family friendly beach and restaurants. The views from the balconies are to die for. Within a 10 to 20 minute drive there are 4 or 5 other beautiful coves / beaches where it would be easy to spend the day. If that sounds all too strenuous, then the day could be spent beside the pool.
The location is absolute amazing - we came to Spain from Australia, and landed, got a hire car and drive straight to the Parador. It was spectacualr coming over the hilll to the sparkling Med - it was our first stop in Spain for our month long honeymoon and the parador here and in Granada were absolute standouts. Worth the money and the breakfasts were fantastic!
Some of the dinner food was a bit repetitive in flavour, and the rooms were pretty basic in terms of decor - the pillows were pretty hard.
Staying in April, not possible to test beach and swimming-pool. Quite comfortable, without unuseful luxus, Nice people. Fine eating. More than all : fabulous situation on isolated roc above the sea. No noise, except from wind, birds ans sea.
The special offer price on a good twin-bedroom. View over the sea. Friendly cleaning staff! Relaxed atmosphere.
Not good value for money for the restaurant food served. One could eat better for less in the local area (E.G. Palamos)
Marvellous location, fantastic views over sea and nature. Ideal that you can swim in the sea at walking distance. Quiet,no noisy people or noisy music.Friendly atmosphere . Pleasant, interesting modern building.Great vistas, well furnished with real art works.
Quality of dinners mediocre. Very little vegetables. Half-board therefore not recommended by us.
We have stayed at this hotel before and always appreciated its location and ambience.
The price of food in the restaurant has risen and is variable some excellent others less so. Also, while the breakfast remains a great buffet I would personally like to have some muesli included.
The view from the room was amazing. Breakfast was excellent. The building was beautiful and well kept.
Dinner was very expensive and of medicore quality. We did not enjoy it. Though presented as a double bed, the mattress was split in two, which is annoying. The whole experience felt a bit old.
